Bike Tours of Cambridge

Discover new places and interesting routes between them on rides organized
by the
Cambridge Bicycle Committee. Most tours are themed, with brief
talks and an informational brochure of images, text and map. The tours
are accessible to all bike riders, moving at an easy pace
in a group escorted by the Cambridge Police bicycle patrol. The rides
are free of charge and end with free refreshments!
Our spring ride is scheduled for
Saturday, May 18th, 2013
Updates will be posted here and sent to our mailing list.

Henry Lewis Memorial Bike Ride
Saturday December 4th, 2010
Event details
Ride Route
Photos
Henry Arthur Lewis III, who organized and led the Spring and Fall 2010 bike rides
for the Cambridge Bicycle Committee, died unexpectedly on November 13. Every
Saturday morning possible—rain or shine—he led his famous bike rides
along the Minuteman Trail, a 22-mile round trip to Bedford and back, guiding experts
and the least-experienced alike with his encouragements and well-known bullhorn.
This 8-mile memorial ride, through parts of Cambridge that were important to Henry,
concluded with a gathering at the Elks Lodge in Cambridge to honor and remember him.
